Chieftain Day - May 10th 2024 Thank you to: Teepee Presentation by Terry Yellow Fat Sunflower Tea Presentation by Della No Heart & Kathy Froelich Star Quilt Presentation and Activity by Noelle Benson Lunch Provided by Dakota Community Bank-Mandan Inflatables by Grey Willow Inflatables Sue Isbell with help from students for making the shirts. Students had a very informational fun filled day!

Indigenous Flute Workshop using Kevin Locke Curriculum with artist Bryan Akipa and Doug Smarch Jr. was held on Tuesday.

Another annual Farm and Ranch Day in the books! Thank you Mary Jean Hunter, of Sioux County Farmers Union as you once again did an amazing job organizing this learning experience for students and the general public. Also, a huge thank you to the following for having booths at this event: North Dakota Stockmen's Association, Burleigh County Extension Service, West River Telecommunications, Joana Friesz Livestock, Ben Gerving live animals, Sitting Bull College Equestrian Program, North Dakota Farmers Union, Sioux County Farmers Union, North Dakota CattleWomen District #5, KYFR-TV Meteorologist Henry Blakes, Mor-Gran-Sou Electric, NDSU Grant County Extension Service, Sioux County USDA Farm Service Agency, Natural Resources Conservation Service, and Cedar Soil Conservation District, North Dakota Department Of Agriculture, Selfridge Rural Fire District, North Dakota Forest Department, Smokey The Bear and Gooseneck Implement and also Gate City Bank for donations.

Selfridge Public School will have an early release Wednesday, April 17th at 2:30 for professional development.

The Johnson O'Malley meeting will be held Tuesday, April 9th at 5:00 at the high school tech room.

Easter meals will be delivered to student's homes today after school. A special thank you to Sioux County Farmers Union for donating and helping partner this special meal for our students.

Due to forecasted weather conditions Selfridge School will start 2 hours late on Monday, March 25th, 2024.

Parent/teacher conferences will be held March 19th and March 21st from 3:30 - 6:30 each night.
